Fostering a Unified Robbinsdale Community:

1. Restoring Integrity to Leadership: I am committed to restoring integrity to District 281 by replacing dysfunction with transparency and total fiscal accountability. By prioritizing students and educators over personal and political interests, we can move past divisive infighting and refocus on our shared goals. Real leadership serves as a model for the entire district; when the board operates with respect, it empowers the community to do the same. It is time for a school board that reflects the strength of our neighbors and works collaboratively to ensure every student thrives.2. Healing After Closures: To heal the rift from recent school closures, I will replace the "survival of the fittest" climate with a "Robbinsdale United" philosophy that prioritizes district-wide collaboration. We will bridge the divide by implementing universal programming and establishing unified hubs, centralized centers for STEM, vocational training, and the arts, to ensure every student has access to premium resources. By creating these shared spaces and hosting district-wide events, we can break down neighborhood silos and move forward as one connected community. My goal is to ensure that a student’s opportunities are never limited by their school’s size or location.3. True Inclusivity & Equity: I will advocate for equitable resource distribution so that a student’s zip code never determines the quality of their education. By prioritizing funding for mental health, Special Education, and culturally responsive staffing, we can directly close the proficiency gap for students of color. I will push to prioritize student-facing staff over administrative growth to ensure resources reach the classroom where they matter most. My goal is to provide a premium, inclusive education that honors the diversity of our district and lifts every student to their full potential.4. Active Community Dialogue: I will transform board meetings from a formality into a true dialogue. My goal is to lower the barriers to participation, ensuring that parents, educators, and neighbors from every corner of the district feel empowered to attend, speak, and be heard. When more voices are at the table, our decisions reflect the actual needs of our students rather than just the status quo. By implementing cross-campus "Solution Circles" to give families a shared voice, two-way dialogues at board meetings, we ensure that every policy is co-authored by the very community it serves.5. Modernizing Vision 2030: I believe Vision 2030 should be a living document shaped by our community, not a rigid plan imposed upon families. While I value the Vision Team’s foundational work, it is vital to realign these goals with our current financial reality and with direct community feedback. By integrating parent and educator feedback into these long-term goals, we ensure our strategic plan reflects the actual needs and values of our neighborhoods. Vision 2030 should be a collaborative roadmap that evolves with community and educator feedback, our district’s challenges, and our aspirations.6. Direct Access & Community Partnership: I commit to being a representative who is reachable, responsive, and present. To ensure I am truly your voice, I will host Regular Community Office Hours across the district, at local coffee shops, libraries, and community centers, to hear your concerns directly. I am not running to simply sit on a board; I am running to be a partner in our children’s education. By creating these consistent, informal touchpoints, I will ensure that the decisions I make are rooted in the real-time needs of our families and educators.
